My name is Benjamin Balmy. I’m an engineer by training and an athlete by passion.
Performance Plus Theory was built at the intersection of both.
MY STORY
I grew up in Martinique, a French Caribbean island, where my journey started early — both in sport and in discipline. From a young age, I was drawn to performance and consistency, competing in swimming and running before transitioning into triathlon.
At the same time, I pursued a path in engineering. By the age of 12, I knew I wanted to become an aeronautical engineer. That path led me to the United States, where I began my career in aeronautical engineering, working on high-performance aircraft systems.
Engineering taught me how to think:
With structure
With precision
With purpose
At 24, I was leading a team of engineers — learning quickly that performance is never random. It is built, measured, and refined.

Over time, I realized something:
Most people don’t struggle because they lack effort.
They struggle because they lack structure.
That’s where engineering meets performance.
Performance Plus Theory is built around one idea:
Do the right work, at the right time, for the right reason.
Not more training.
Not harder training.
Smarter training.

To help people train with clarity, build consistency, and achieve results they didn’t think were possible.
Because performance isn’t just about what you do — it’s about how precisely you do it.
